Private 1-on-1 Speaking Coaching for Senior Leaders

Public Speaking Coach for Executives

Executive presenting to a conference audience

As a public speaking coach, I help executives speak with clarity and authority in the rooms where it counts, from the board meeting to the keynote stage. The coaching is confidential, one-on-one and largely virtual.

You speak, I watch, and we work on the habits that decide how the room hears you. I treat what you say and how you say it as one discipline.

What a Public Speaking Coach Does for an Executive

A public speaking coach for executives watches you speak about real work, names the habits that cost you authority, and helps you replace them one at a time. The room judges your message and your delivery at once, so the work covers both.

Executive talks carry decisions and budgets, and the audience is often a board or the whole company. I coach CEOs, C-suite members, rising executives and technical experts who now have to lead. You already know your subject. The goal is a room that understands it and acts on it.

Where Executives Speak

Executives speak in a few settings where one talk can change a decision.

Board and Investor Rooms

Directors and investors have read the numbers before you walk in. They are judging your judgment: whether you lead with the conclusion and hold your position when someone pushes back.

Town Halls and Keynotes

A town hall or a keynote asks you to hold a large room with one clear idea. The work is a strong opening and a message people can repeat after you leave.

Q&A and Off-the-Cuff Moments

The hardest minutes are often unscripted, like a pointed question from the floor. You need a structure you can use in the moment, so your answer has a point.

Virtual, One-on-One Coaching

Most of my coaching happens virtually, so you practice where many executives now present: on camera, in a video call.

Sessions are one-on-one and confidential. I work with leaders wherever they are, and we schedule around travel and board cycles. To start, book the free, confidential 30-minute consultation.

Private coaching. Not a course.

There is no generic speech curriculum. Every session works on your own material, around your own calendar.

Group Training or Private Coaching?

Public speaking training for executives usually means a group course on a set schedule, while private coaching works with you alone, on your own talks.

A group course can introduce useful ideas. Changing your habits in the rooms that matter takes work on your own material, and that is what private coaching is for.

When Executives Reach Out

Leaders usually reach out because a specific moment on the calendar is too important to leave to instinct.

  • A new CEO or senior leader with a first board meeting, town hall or keynote ahead
  • A CFO or finance leader preparing for an earnings call or an investor day
  • A technical expert who now has to explain complex work to a board
  • A woman executive facing the double bind at the senior level

Public Speaking Coach FAQ

What does a public speaking coach do for an executive?
A coach watches you speak about real material from your work, then names the habits that cost you authority: a slow start, filler words, a vague point, a finish that trails off. You replace those habits one at a time. The work covers what you say and how you say it, so the room understands you and acts.
Is group public speaking training enough?
It depends on the goal. A group course teaches general skills on a set schedule, and it can introduce useful ideas. Private coaching works on your own talks and your own schedule, so the changes show up in the specific rooms where you speak.
Can coaching be done online?
Yes. Most of my coaching is virtual, so it works wherever you are, and you practice in the same format as many of your meetings. Every session is one-on-one and confidential, and we plan the schedule around your travel and board cycles.
What happens in the first session?
You speak about something real from your calendar, and I watch. I look at how your message and your delivery work together, and I name the two or three patterns that limit your impact. The coaching builds from there.
I get nervous before I speak. Can coaching help?
Yes. Nerves are common, even among experienced leaders. Coaching gives you a clear core message to hold on to, practice with the hardest questions, and a calm way to start. When you know your first 30 seconds and the one point you must land, nerves have less room to take over.
Can coaching prepare me for a specific event?
Yes, and that is often how the work begins. A first board meeting, an earnings call or a keynote gives us a clear date and a clear goal. Tell me what’s coming up and when, and we start from there.
Who will know that I am working with a coach?
Only the people you choose to tell. Some executives arrange coaching on their own. There are no debrief emails, and no session recordings are sent anywhere else. Nothing from our sessions is shared with anyone in your organization unless you choose to share it.
